All-on-4® Full-Mouth Restoration for Severe Gum Disease – Completed in 5 Months
The Dental Problem
Our 50-year-old patient arrived with advanced gum disease (periodontitis). He had already lost a few teeth, and the remaining ones could not be saved due to extensive bone and tissue loss. A full-mouth restoration was the only viable solution. Together with the patient, we decided on the All-on-4® method – a fast, reliable approach for complete dental rehabilitation.
Solution
We removed all of the remaining teeth and immediately placed four Nobel Biocare implants in both the upper and lower jaws.
The very next day, the patient received a long-term temporary restoration fixed to the implants – allowing him to return to everyday life straight away, without the discomfort of being toothless or the hassle of a removable denture.
After a few months, once the implants had fully bonded with the bone, we fitted the final high-strength, natural-looking zirconia All-on-4® bridges.
Result
The rehabilitation was successfully completed in five months. The patient regained his confidence, full oral function, and quality of life, allowing him to smile freely once again.
