Full Smile Restoration: Upper All-on-4®, Lower Full-Arch Bridge

The Dental Problem

The 60-year-old patient visited our clinic with significant aesthetic concerns and partial tooth loss. A thorough dental examination revealed advanced periodontal disease affecting the upper teeth, which meant they could no longer be saved; therefore, extraction was unavoidable.

Solution

Our goal was to achieve a complete functional and aesthetic restoration. For the upper arch, we opted for the All-on-4® technique, a solution that provides excellent long-term stability while requiring fewer implants than traditional methods – and delivering faster results. For the lower arch, we planned a full-arch zirconia bridge. In the first stage, we removed the unsalvageable teeth in both jaws and placed four implants in the upper jaw according to the All-on-4® protocol. Within 24 hours, a temporary All-on-4® bridge was securely attached to the implants, creating an immediate and dramatic improvement in the patient’s smile aesthetics. During the second phase, two additional implants were placed in the lower molar region to ensure optimal stability for the final full-arch bridge. To complete the rehabilitation, we placed the final upper All-on-4® bridge and the lower full-arch bridge, both made from high-strength, biocompatible zirconia – combining excellent durability with a natural, lifelike appearance.

Result

The full treatment was completed in just five months and required only three clinical visits. The new restorations provide stable, comfortable chewing function and a beautifully natural smile. Thanks to the transformation, our patient regained confidence and experienced a significant improvement in overall quality of life.
