Full-Mouth Restoration: Upper and Lower All-on-4® Solution in Just 7 Months

The Dental Problem

Our 71-year-old patient sought options for replacing her missing teeth. Only a few teeth remained in the front region of the lower jaw, while the missing molars on both sides had previously been replaced with a clasp-retained partial denture. For the upper jaw, the patient relied on a traditional removable denture to address complete tooth loss. However, this solution was uncomfortable and far from ideal.
The patient wanted a fixed denture in the shortest possible time, so we recommended the All-on-4® implant procedure.

Solution

Since there were no teeth left to extract in the upper jaw, we immediately inserted four Nobel Biocare implants. In the lower jaw, we extracted the remaining unsalvageable teeth and placed implants during the same surgical procedure. Within a few days, the patient received fixed temporary bridges for both upper and lower jaws, providing immediate functional and aesthetic restoration. After the healing period, we attached the custom-made final zirconia restorations to the implants.

Result

The treatment was completed in two stages: the first involved extractions, implant placement, and the fitting of temporary bridges, and the second focused on the final restorations. The entire process took just seven months. The zirconia-based All-on-4® bridges offered a stable, aesthetic, and natural-looking solution. The patient left our clinic fully satisfied, with a restored smile and freedom from the limitations of removable dentures.
