Smile Makeover with Zirconia Crowns in the Aesthetic Zone
The Dental Problem
Our 58-year-old patient had long felt unhappy with the appearance of his upper front teeth. Instead of smiling freely, he would often cover his mouth when laughing. He specifically requested treatment limited to the aesthetic zone.
Solution
At the first appointment, we extracted a lower molar and an upper front tooth that had previously been root-treated but could no longer be saved. A dental implant was placed in the site of the upper front tooth. To maintain comfort and appearance throughout the healing period, we provided temporary crowns. These allowed the patient to continue her daily life with confidence and without aesthetic compromise. At the second visit, we fitted the final crowns. The zirconia restorations were attached to both the implant and the remaining natural front teeth.
Zirconia is a metal-free material with a natural look and high translucency, making it especially well-suited for visible areas of the smile.
Result
The newly restored, harmonious smile brought a visible improvement to the patient’s appearance and gave a significant boost to his self-confidence.
