Correction of Diastema and Irregular Front Teeth with Zirconia Crowns
The Dental Problem
Our 54-year-old patient presented with aesthetic concerns affecting his upper front teeth. Mild misalignment and visible gaps (diastema) resulted in a smile that lacked uniformity, while discolouration further compromised the overall appearance. He wished to achieve a more harmonious, natural-looking smile that would complement his facial features.
Solution
As a first step, we carried out EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy to remove plaque and discolouration, creating a clean and healthy foundation for the planned restorations.
Next, taking the patient’s aesthetic preferences and expectations into account, we designed the shape and proportions of his new smile. Based on this digital plan, the dental laboratory fabricated zirconia crowns for the upper front teeth.
Thanks to zirconia’s natural translucency, the crowns provide a refined, lifelike appearance. Their colour and contours blend seamlessly with the surrounding natural teeth.
Result
The treatment was completed in a single visit and resulted in an immediate aesthetic improvement. The new crowns created a harmonious, natural-looking smile that met the patient’s expectations in every respect. With his renewed smile, the patient now feels noticeably more confident, and not only his face but his overall appearance conveys a more harmonious, well-groomed impression.
